AWANA Connection Week 6:

Christmas has come! Jesus was born as God's great gift to us. He loves us so much he was unwilling to let us remain separated from Him forever in sin and eternally in Hell. So Jesus, God Himself, came to earth as a human baby to grow into a man that would die on the cross in our place and rise from the dead to give us eternal life restored forever to a relationship with him. There is no greater gift and no better news!

We hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

AWANA News:

January 4, 2021

Dear AWANA families,

We pray that you have enjoyed your holidays and school break!

The best part of a new year is that it brings a refreshing hope of new opportunities and a fresh start on old things. Of course, a truly new beginning is found only in Jesus, and it is by His grace that we are making a new start to our AWANA club year.

Thursday January 14th we will resume our AWANA program. Age groups, locations, and time frame will remain the same: K-2nd at the Community Center and 3-6th at the Baptist Church on Thursdays from school release to 5:30pm.

We appreciate the patience and understanding you have shown as we have worked to address the challenges the past year has brought. We are hoping and praying with you for a better 2021. We have adjusted our program format so that we expect to be able to maintain our club operation through the rest of the school year. That said, only God knows what the days ahead will bring, but as far as we can anticipate and concerning what we can control we do not intend any further (abnormal) closures to AWANA club.

We look forward to seeing all of you again on January 14th! If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to volunteer please contact us at the phone numbers below.

Serving Christ,

What Is AWANA?

AWANA is an international, non-denominational Bible Club for kids 4-yrs-old through the 6th grade.

AWANA is an acronym taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. It stand for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed"

We hold AWANA every Thursday after school until 5:30pm while Castleford Schools are in session from mid-October
through April.

Kids work their way through handbooks at their own speed memorizing Scriptures that give God’s plan of salvation through trusting their lives to Jesus Christ.

Second grade and younger meet at the Community Center and 3rd- 6th grade meet at the church. Parents pick-up and must sign-out their children at these locations.

There are treats, games & fun, singing, and a chapel lesson, along with some important learning opportunities.
