Teen Leader-in-Training Application
AWANA runs October through May as a weekly after-school program.
We are currently assessing how the change in Castleford school schedule and times will affect the AWANA program. We will release information regarding changes as soon as it is available.
There will be no AWANA any Thursday that school is out of session, whether a scheduled break or snow day, etc.
Please be sure to have submitted a completed registration form for your student to ensure we have emergency and health information on file.
It is our privilege to serve your families in the love, grace, and truth of Jesus through this program.
Please be aware that there is a check-in/check-out procedure for all students. Additionally, students will remain in a single location: T&T at the Baptist Church and Sparks at the Community Center. Your child will need picked-up and checked-out of that location by the responsible party. T&T students walking home will need written permission on file.
While this may be slightly inconvenient at times, understand these precautions are taken because of the respect we have for being entrusted with your most precious treasures.
Note that a registration form including emergency contact information and health concerns must be completed and on file even for returning clubbers.
We ask each family to pay the supplies costs for their child's participation (some of which are optional) in order to assist us in the cost of carrying out the program, however, no clubber will be denied participation due to an inability to pay.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact a director.
We look forward to another great year with you!
- Pastor Thomas
P.S. Interested in helping out every week or as available? We would love to include you in our team! Contact Thomas, Carol, or Genaura.
AWANA is an international, non-denominational Bible Club for kids 4-yrs-old through the 6th grade.
AWANA is an acronym taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. It stand for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed"
We hold AWANA every Thursday after school until 5:00pm while Castleford Schools are in session from mid-October
Kids work their way through handbooks at their own speed memorizing Scriptures that give God’s plan of salvation through trusting their lives to Jesus Christ.
Second grade and younger meet at the church and 3rd- 6th grade meet at the Community Center, but are back to the church in time for parents to pick them up.
There are treats, games & fun, singing, and a chapel lesson, along with some serious learning.
